The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, opened new laboratories and halls in the centers for research and treatment of blood diseases and diabetes research affiliated to Al-Mustansiriya University.

During the inauguration, the Minister of Education said that the ministry is keen to make universities linked to the needs of society by providing the necessary services, especially medical and therapeutic ones, and conducting scientific and applied research aimed at serving citizens and development requirements.

The Minister of Education conducted a tour of the departments of the centers in the presence of the President of Al-Mustansiriya University, Dr. Hamid Fadel, directing the need to provide medical services within the policy of integration with health institutions.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, also inspected the Iraqi Center for Cancer Research and Medical Genetics and the Immunology and Coagulation Laboratory of Al-Mustansiriya University, praising the efforts made by the center’s employees in maintaining the scientific level and employing the available capabilities to enhance the university environment in the field of conducting research and providing specialized services.
