The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus accredited to Iraq, Mr. Victor Rybak, and his accompanying delegation.

Discussions took place in the areas of developing joint scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries and developing the contexts responsible for exchanging experiences and scholarships in various specializations in the interest of the two friendly peoples.

The Minister of Education expressed the readiness of institutions of higher education and scientific research to coordinate the necessary understandings that would strengthen scientific and cultural relations, pointing out that Iraqi universities attract international students through the Study in Iraq initiative, which provided various scholarships in primary and postgraduate studies.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus appreciated the interest of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, in developing bilateral relations and enhancing opportunities for joint cooperation in the scientific and academic fields, especially with regard to the exchange of scholarships and fellowships.
