A senior delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research participated in the International Copernicus Conference in the Republic of Poland.
The participation of the delegation, which included the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haidar Abd Dhahad, and the advisor, Dr. Alaa Abd Al-Hassan Attia, included scientific dialogues and discussions regarding the main axis that focused on freedom of scientific research and freedom of criticism of scientific research. The conference resulted in the Torun Declaration for Scientific Research signed by Britain, Iraq and Poland. Czech Republic, Rwanda, Slovakia, Ukraine, Georgia and Malta.
In its speech delivered by the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, the Iraqi delegation affirmed Iraq’s commitment to supporting solid scientific research, fruitful international cooperation, organizing international scientific partnerships, and exchanging experiences and data in the field of scientific research. Exchange of students and researchers between Iraq and the participating countries.
The conference, which was held in the Polish city of Torun in honor of the Polish scientist Nicholas Coperinsky, featured lectures by a number of scientists who won the Nobel Prizes for Science and awarded academic prizes to a number of winning scientists.
