The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Iraq, Dr. Muntaser Aqla Al-Zoubi, and they discussed areas of cooperation between the universities of the two countries.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education stressed the importance of joint cooperation in terms of academic programs, exchange of experiences and scholarships after the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched the “Study in Iraq” initiative to accept foreign students in Iraqi universities.
The Minister of Education called for crystallizing an integrated environment that would benefit from educational experiences that contribute to the development of university institutions and raise them to the highest level of quality and academic accreditation in accordance with international indicators and standards.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan expressed his country’s readiness to enhance the environment of cooperation in the higher education sector, to work diligently to formulate understandings, and to participate in workshops and conferences organized by the universities of the two countries.
