The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed the doctoral dissertation entitled (Heavy elements in the soil of the lands of Husseiniya and their impact on agricultural production), by the researcher (Ali Kazem Jawad Kazem) and in the hall of (The Master of Martyrs (PBUH) in the college)
The study aims to know the heavy metals in agricultural lands in Al-Husseiniyah district of Karbala governorate and their impact on agricultural production.
The study relied on the laboratory examination of soil samples taken by (31 samples), as well as (10 samples) of water, as well as samples of plants and crops planted nearby for each soil sample in the study area during the winter and summer seasons.
The results of laboratory analysis of irrigation water samples for the element cadmium in the winter season showed the highest two samples were (2) and (3) by (o.021ppm) and (0.016ppm), and the results were slightly higher than the permissible Iraqi and international determinants, and thus the quality of this water Poor irrigation of agricultural crops – During the month of February, there were no high levels of cadmium in the soil samples, so the highest rate was recorded in only two samples (1.27) by (ppm 0.07%, 0.08%), while the rest of the samples were negative, and thus the percentage of cadmium element Exceeding the permissible limits for heavy elements in the soil of agricultural lands as well, as cadmium levels were generally very low in the winter season, and thus the study relied on natural factors as there is a relationship between solar radiation and the maximum temperature (0.571), and there is also a relationship between temperature Maximum relative humidity.
