The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, visited the University of Kirkuk and was briefed on its halls, halls and laboratories. He held a meeting with the University Council and appreciated the interest of its scientific and administrative staff and staff in developing its educational environment.
During the meeting with the University Council, in the presence of Mr. Governor Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, a number of deputies of the governorate and the head of the supervision and scientific evaluation apparatus, he reaffirmed the importance of improving the quality of academic performance and the participation of all university employees, including teachers, administrators and workers, in achieving this goal on which the educational process and its components are based with direct contact with society. .
He explained that the procedures related to improving quality are related to the vision and mission of the institution and its goals in developing human resources and infrastructure and modernizing the educational system, indicating that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research took a positive decision to adopt the Bologna track and the studied shift towards the course system and modernization and review of curricula in line with the requirements of the labor market and knowledge variables in different fields of specialization.
He called on the deans of colleges and heads of departments to provide all educational requirements, employ the available capabilities, and organize cooperation and twinning programs with discreet international universities, pointing out that the “Study in Iraq” initiative aimed at attracting international students will provide an important impetus for Iraqi universities in an environment of global competition, noting that the changes and challenges necessitate the university Redouble its scientific efforts and responsibilities.
