The College of Nursing at Karbala University organized a scientific field visit to the Veterinary Medicine Hospital, in which the college students participated, under the direct supervision of the head of the branch and a number of teachers.
The visit aims to increase health awareness among students, and to learn about common and transmissible diseases that affect humans and animals that can affect human health and the health care services provided by the hospital.
The visit included an explanation by the specialists of the medical services provided by the hospital, how to care for pets, and ways to control the diseases spread among them.
“During the visit, the issue of the importance of vaccinations and how to prevent communicable diseases transmitted between animals and humans was discussed,” said Dr. Haqi Ismail, a teacher from the College of Nursing.
