The University of Karbala hosted a celebration held by the Department of Caring for the Families of Martyrs and Wounded at the Holy Hussain Shrine to honor university students from the sons of the martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the security forces, in the presence of the administrative assistant to the university president, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, and a number of security leaders and university professors.
The administrative assistant to the president of the university, Prof. Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, stated, “The honoring is a tribute to the martyrs themselves, as they gave their best to defend the land and honor.”
Al-Yasiri pointed out, “The sacrifices of the martyrs are one of the most important factors in victory over criminal terrorism, calling at the same time to continue supporting the families of the martyrs in fulfillment of the blood of their parents, without whom life would not have continued.”
The head of the Department of Caring for the Families of the Martyrs and the Wounded, Ahmad Rasool, said, “The honoring included nearly (50) male and female students from the University of Karbala, indicating that it comes within the interest of the Holy Shrine in this category.”
And Rasool stated, “The main goal of the honor is to urge the children of the martyrs among the students to continue their scientific path and contribute to building society, expressing his thanks to the university presidency for its cooperation and efforts in this field.”
The students from the sons of the martyrs gave their thanks to the General Secretariat of the Holy Husayni Shrine and the Presidency of the University of Karbala, who are the first to provide support and establish initiatives that make them feel care and attention, and give them strength and determination to continue the path of knowledge and other social roles.
At the end of the ceremony, appreciative gifts were distributed to male and female students, sons of martyrs, as well as honoring the Husseiniya Holy Shrine to the administrative assistant to the university president, Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri.
