Children who live in large cities are exposed to different types of allergies more than their peers in the countryside.
Scientists from Johns Hopkins University studied the health of 516 children from Baltimore, Boston, New York and St. Louis during their first five years of life.
The result of the study showed that 10 percent of these children suffer from allergies to milk, eggs and peanuts. And 55 percent of them have a very high sensitivity to these materials.
And scientists say, the risk of allergies increases in crowded cities, as a result of the widespread use of antibiotics, as well as antiseptics and cesarean deliveries.
