Under the auspices and supervision of Mrs. Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, the Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Microbiology and Veterinary Parasitology Branch, held a training course entitled The Most Important Diagnostic Methods for Parasites in Meat, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists and the Parasitology Laboratory in the college, in which each lectured from U.S. M. Dr. Firas Odeh Khudair m. Dr.. Ibrahim Fadl Rashid, for three days.
The training course aimed to identify the most important parasites that infect meat and the laboratory methods used in diagnosis, and to demonstrate their suitability for human consumption and that they are free from diseases.
The course curriculum included identifying the most important parasites that are found in meat in a detailed manner and knowing the most important laboratory methods used in diagnosing parasites present in meat such as pineal vesicle disease and cat disease. The last day of the course included a practical training on meat examination and how to conduct a laboratory diagnosis to detect parasites that infect them.
