• Many believe that sugar-free soft drinks do not harm the teeth.. However, this belief is wrong, as soft drinks contain acidic substances that damage tooth enamel.

• Some people believe that excessive sugar intake causes tooth decay. This is also a misconception, as it is the long-term retention of sugar on the teeth that causes decay, not the amount of sugar a person eats.

• Many believe that the use of miswak replaces the use of a toothbrush, and doctors confirm that the miswak is useful for the teeth, but it does not replace its use.

• Some people choose a hard toothbrush because they think that using it helps get rid of leftovers better. This is also a misconception. Brushing your teeth with a hard brush leads to erosion of the enamel, so it is preferable to replace it with a soft brush and use it for more than two minutes.

• Many believe that brushing the teeth immediately after eating food protects them, but it is preferable to wait 30 minutes after eating foods, especially those that contain acidic substances, before brushing the teeth.
