First: tooth decay:
Tooth decay occurs as a result of the decomposition of sugar present in the various foods we eat, which results in a type of acid that erodes the outer layer of the teeth (enamel), causing tooth decay. To prevent tooth decay, the following should be followed:
• Avoid overeating between main meals; Because this increases the possibility of lime (plaque) accumulation on the teeth, and then cavities.
• Avoid sweetened soft drinks and stimulants such as coffee and tea.
• Brush your teeth with a toothbrush and paste immediately after eating, and use dental floss daily to remove food between the teeth.
Second: yellowing of the teeth:
There are many reasons for yellowing the teeth or changing their color from the natural whiteness, and among these reasons are the following:
• Food and drink: Among the foods and drinks that contribute to changing the color of the teeth: coffee, tea, and colored soft drinks.
• Use of tobacco products: including smoking cigarettes and chewing tobacco products.
• Lack of dental health care: such as not brushing and flossing properly to remove plaque, coffee or tobacco from the teeth, which change the color of the teeth.
