The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with his counterpart, the head of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Khaled Touqan. They discussed prospects for coordination regarding scientific research, training, visits and mutual programs.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, expressed his thanks to the President of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission for the kind invitation to visit the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the facilities of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, which are witnessing important indicators in the field of radioisotope production, uranium mining, tests and calibrations conducted by specialized laboratories, and hosting regional and international events.

During the joint meeting, he stressed the keenness of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission and its staff to frame the cooperation space and the projects it includes that serve the peaceful energy file of the two countries in the research and scientific fields and build productive partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries.

In this regard, the head of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Khaled Touqan, welcomed the visit of the Iraqi delegation and honored the head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi and his accompanying delegation, pointing at the same time to the importance of developing relations and strengthening the joint work environment in the fields of atomic energy and its peaceful uses.
