The number of primary teeth is 20, and each jaw has 10 teeth. The number of these teeth in each jaw includes four front teeth, canines, and four molars (molars). The development of these teeth begins at the age of 6 months and continues until the age of three. The front teeth come in at 6 to 18 months and fall out at 6 to 8 years. Canines grow from 16 to 22 months of age and fall out between 10 and 12 years of age. Molars also grow between 19 and 33 months of age and fall out at 10 to 12 years of age.
