This study was conducted on 3 patients in Spain. Some patients present with symptoms such as fever, lethargy, impaired sense of smell, and swollen cervical lymph nodes. Pain in the palate and throat was another symptom of these patients. Some patients also showed symptoms such as recurrent herpes, which they said was their first time experiencing such symptoms.
According to the study of these patients, this virus is capable of causing aggressive lesions, similar to other common viral lesions of the oral cavity.
