A dissertation in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala discussed the changes in the structure of output in light of the development of the components of aggregate demand – Iraq, a case study.
The study presented by the student, Maryam Hussein Nasser Al-Kindi, focused on the inability of the Iraqi economy to address the structural and structural imbalances of the gross domestic product through the rentier economy dependent on oil revenues, as well as the weak ability of the components of aggregate demand to participate in achieving output growth, which affects growth. The economist.
The thesis came with the aim of studying and analyzing the impact of each of the variables of aggregate demand on the gross domestic product in Iraq, whether they are short-term or long-term effects, in addition to knowing the dynamic effects and the long-term co-integration relationship between them using the advanced standard analysis method Ardl.
The study concluded that there is a weakness in the interdependence and interdependence between the economic sectors of the rents of the Iraqi economy on the one hand, and the weakness of the impact of the components of aggregate demand, except for private consumption spending, on revitalizing and diversifying the economy on the other hand.
The study recommended a restructuring of the Iraqi economy by adopting the policy of economic diversification and moving the components of aggregate demand such as government spending and government investment towards the productive sectors to change the structure of output in Iraq.
