Crooked teeth are part of the oral deformities that have significant effects on a person’s beauty and health. The occurrence of such abnormalities in the oral environment can have various causes. In fact, dental abnormalities have two main causes. It is the first genetic cause that crooked teeth are transmitted from parent to child. For example, some children inherit a small jaw from the mother and large teeth from the father. As a result, there is not enough space for the teeth to fit together in a regular manner.

Another reason could be environmental factors. Finger sucking, tongue sucking, mouth breathing, blows to the jaw and face, as well as stresses that may be placed on the mouth, are all environmental factors that affect crooked teeth. So environment and inheritance are two big factors that both can cause abnormalities. Inheritance is a factor that cannot be prevented, but environmental factors can be prevented to some extent.
