The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, visited the Future University in Babil Governorate, and was briefed on its educational environment, colleges, and laboratories.
During the meeting, he called on private universities in Iraq to further development in terms of quality educational services and to contribute to strengthening academic and development programs that serve the community, pointing out that twinning programs and joint scientific research with governmental and foreign universities gave serious impetus to improve performance and achieve the mission and goals of academic institutions in Iraq.
He added that the indicators of scientific publication in the Scopus containers and the results achieved in international classifications, especially in the results of the Times Classification for Sustainable Development for the year 2023, bear a clear indication of tangible progress for private education institutions and universities.
For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, appreciated the vigorous follow-up by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, to the institutions of private university education, his visit to the Future University, his meeting with its council and deans, and examining the details of its academic environment, which recorded indicators in the field of global publishing and achieved competitive results in the national ranking of universities and a number of international classifications.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, toured the university in the presence of a number of presidents of public and private universities. He inaugurated a new building for the College of Pharmacy, which includes modern specialized halls and laboratories, and the central student club, while inspecting projects under construction and laying the foundation stone for the university presidency building and the Future Center for Energy Research.
