Dental sensitivity, or dental hypersensitivity, is a sharp pain that occurs in the teeth due to dentin exposure. When it comes into contact with an external stimulus, very characteristic momentary holes are noticeable.
If the problem cannot be linked with an oral pathology, such as caries or an infection in the gums, we are talking about tooth sensitivity.
