A master’s thesis in the College of Engineering at the University of Karbala discussed the use of graphite plate fins and magnets to improve the performance of sloped solar distillation.

The study presented by the student, Ali Bani Khasaf, relied on a new system that was designed and produced locally, as the researcher used solar distillation with magnets and fins to improve the performance of the solar distillation apparatus. distillation. As well as the tests conducted on the efficiency and productivity of the solar distillation apparatus.
The results of experiments and mathematical analysis showed that all methods used in the study enhance the performance of the solar distillation apparatus, and that the use of fins is better than the use of magnets to achieve this goal, and the use of magnets has a lesser role compared to fins, and this was achieved by repeating the experimental tests several times and days until it was obtained On stable and realistic results.
