Personal protective measures

Personal protective measures such as medical gloves, gowns, protective glasses, and hair nets reduce the possibility of spreading infection. Medical gloves and masks must be used once and then disposed of. Medical glasses can be used more than once, provided they are sterilized. Dental personnel should wear closed-toe shoes to reduce the chances of injury from sharp instruments.[4]
