Change in the smell of the infant’s mouth.
Crying and fussing constantly.
The mother notes that the child is making sounds as if he is swallowing, but he is not being breastfed.
The child burps a lot.
He refuses to breastfeed because of the heartburn he feels, which is painful and causes him distress. The mother notices that he moves his legs and pushes his head back when she tries to breastfeed him, and the same thing with artificial feeding.
There is a case of sore throat, which the mother thinks is due to a complaint of the upper respiratory tract.
