Research on the relationship between orthodontics and gum recession

Orthodontists could not find a direct link between orthodontics and gum recession. But this issue has not been completely ruled out. Prolonged orthodontic treatment may, in certain circumstances, result in slight recession, but it will not be the only factor in gum recession. Gum disease depends on different factors and conditions, which we will discuss below.
