The American Society of Interventional and Diagnostic Nephrology granted membership to Dr. Riyad Abboud Al-Sayegh, a lecturer in the Internal Medicine Branch at the College of Medicine at Karbala University, to be a representative of Iraq and the Arab world after passing all the scientific requirements set by the association.

The association is concerned with setting standards for medical practice, granting doctors certification in specific procedures, adopting training programs for practical procedures, developing training tools and techniques, in addition to sponsoring seminars and training courses, and disseminating information through periodic meetings and through the specialized media.

Dr. Riyad Al-Sayegh had performed many diagnostic and interventional operations that varied between kidney biopsy, renal transplantation, catheterization of the arterial venous link, temporary and permanent intravenous catheters, catheter and therapeutic resistance blood pressure operations, and renal vein implantation for kidney transplant patients.
