In removable orthodontics, as the name suggests, the patient can remove the orthodontic appliance from his or her mouth as it is removable. Removable braces can be classified into two categories: the first category is the movable plates that are used to straighten and align the teeth, and the second category is the removable orthodontic device that is used to move the jaws. For example, removable orthodontics cannot be performed on the lower jaw with Class I plaques and Class II plaques must be used.
