A master’s thesis in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala discussed the analysis of the sectoral distribution of bank credit and its impact on the market value – an analytical study of a sample of the productive sectors listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange for the period (2010-2021). The thesis that I submitted to a student, Alaa Sabri Mahdi, came with the aim of examining the possibility of using the sectoral distribution of bank credit and directing it towards the economic sectors in order to increase the value of its market shares. The researcher relied on a group of productive sectors listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange, which were chosen based on the availability of data for the period of the study (2010-2021). The study concluded that there is an influence relationship and an inverse correlation between the volume of credit granted and the market value of the sector (insurance, services, industry, hotels and tourism). stock value. The study recommended the need for the Central Bank of Iraq to follow up on the bank credit granted to the productive sectors and to ensure that this credit is used for the areas of economic productivity, and to educate investors and producers about the importance of using bank credit in financing new projects and expanding existing projects in order to increase production and operation and increase the market value of shares.
