The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a course on the effect of fats in the blood and the formation of atherosclerosis: interpretation from the chemical, pathological and surgical aspects, with the participation of a group of teachers and employees and in the continuing education hall. The second day of the course, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Fadel Hashim Al-Ramahi lectured, included the pathological theories of how atherosclerosis occurs and the role of immune and inflammatory factors in the formation of the most common arterial diseases. The aim of the course is to introduce the types of fats in the blood and the risks of their rise and their negative impact on the formation of atherosclerosis, as well as their serious complications on human health.
