To all professors, employees and students of the University of Karbala, the Presidency of the University of Karbala invites you on Wednesday, at twelve noon, at the Fariha site – the celebration square, to participate in the protest against the heinous crime committed by the Zionist occupation on the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, Al Karama and Fathers, in which hundreds of innocent people were killed. From the oppressed sons of the Palestinian people, we find, on this sad day, an opportunity to reiterate Iraq’s firm and principled position on the right of the Palestinian people to a free and dignified life on their land and national territory, and that there should be no retreat from obtaining this right, which will not lapse with time, and will only become more entrenched.
The Iraqi government spokesman, Mr. Basem Al-Awadi, declared general mourning throughout the Republic of Iraq for three days, out of loyalty and honor to the innocent souls who fell victim to international silence before falling victim to the barbaric fire of aggression.
