The University of Karbala holds a scientific symposium entitled The dangers of gender and its negative marketingThe College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala held a scientific symposium entitled The Dangers of Gender and Its Negative Marketing, in cooperation with the Nahj Al-Arbaeen Cultural Charitable Foundation, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri.The symposium aims to introduce the concepts of sex and gender, increase knowledge of social roles, and introduce the positive and negative aspects.The symposium included a lecture on introducing the rights of men and women, staying away from customs that have established some negative customs and traditions, and consolidating the concepts of the Islamic religion that call for respect for men and women, and staying away from phenomena that are offensive to society.She stressed the importance of adhering to Islamic instructions and directives, the principles called for in the Holy Qur’an, and the national constants guaranteed by the Iraqi Constitution.
