As part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala continues to provide therapeutic and advisory health services to citizens. The services during this day included several clinical cases for a group of children in the Holy Governorate of Karbala, where the clinics’ staff of doctors worked to spread health culture in the field of oral and dental medicine. For our young children in educational medical clinics to maintain the cleanliness and health of their teeth, in addition to consulting and diagnostic services in various aspects of pediatric dentistry.
The medical services provided by the college to children during World Leadership Week included the extraction of children’s baby teeth with regular permanent fillings, nerve embalming (which is an alternative to root canal fillings for children), the use of fluoride to strengthen the children’s tooth enamel layer, and the placement of special dental implants to maintain the space between the baby teeth after Extracting one of these worn-out teeth to prevent the teeth from crowding together, which causes health problems and distorts the natural arrangement of the teeth.
