The College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a seminar entitled (What are the medications that cause fetal deformity?) in the pathology laboratory, in which the lecturer, Dr. Shaima Fadl Mohsen, lectured.
The discussion included introducing the importance and danger of taking medications not agreed upon by World Health Organizations as safe treatments during pregnancy, which lead to abnormal growth of the fetus’s organs, causing birth defects or death, especially in the first three months of fetal development, as it is the period that witnesses the formation of most of the fetuses.
