The Physics Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a training course on calculating the refractive index of prism material and the decay of white light and viewing it through a spectrometer, delivered by Dr. Safaa Muhammad, teacher Hind Khudair Abbas, and assistant teacher Azhar Nazim Rahim.
The course aimed to become familiar with the spectrometer device, study the white color spectrum, as well as calculate the refractive index of the prism material.
The course covered how the spectrometer works and how to benefit from it.
The participants called for the need to pay attention to such topics in order to expand the knowledge of researchers about how to separate colors and calculate their wavelengths.
