The College of Law at the University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis submitted by student Ali Mahmoud Hamid, entitled (The Permanence of the Text in Civil Law, a Comparative Study).
The study aimed to demonstrate that legal texts must have a high level of accuracy in subject matter and accuracy in wording to ensure the continued application of these texts over long periods of time.
The study concluded that the permanence of legal texts falls within the vocabulary of the philosophy of law, as the text is not characterized by permanence unless the conditions of permanence are taken into account in order to achieve equality between people.
The study recommended the importance of calling on the researcher to establish a department specialized in legislative affairs in the legislative authority that is responsible for reviewing the formulation of proposals and draft laws.
