The College of Applied Medical Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a training course on the most important sources of laboratory contamination with microorganisms, represented by fungal causes, bacteria and viruses, and methods of reducing and treating them.
The course aimed to familiarize workers with the laboratory work environment and how to deal with microorganisms and dispose of them after conducting practical scientific experiments.
The course topics included addressing the most important microorganisms that cause diseases, the speed of their spread, and the danger of their presence in the work environment. The course also touched on teaching researchers and graduate students the mechanism of correct disposal of pollutants and the use of modern methods of laboratory destruction.
