The President and members of the Karbala University Council congratulated Engineer Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi on the occasion of assuming the position of Governor of Karbala for the second term.
The university’s president, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, said during the visit that the university is part of society and one of its goals is to serve the people of the holy city of Karbala.
Al-Saidi called on the local government to nominate a number of its employees to fill academic seats in postgraduate studies in all specializations, stressing the university’s support for all social segments.
Al-Saidi expressed his desire for the governorate’s employees to participate in the training courses and workshops organized by the university in order to develop their technical and administrative skills.
For his part, the Governor of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Al-Khattabi, stated that the local government continues to support the University of Karbala to develop its infrastructure, especially since it is the largest and first scientific edifice in the city.
Al-Khattabi stressed that the upcoming reconstruction phase will have the largest role for the University of Karbala, because it possesses scientific energies and technical expertise capable of advancing the service and urban reality to achieve what we aspire to.
