The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a seminar on genetic mutations, their types and causes.
The seminar aimed to explain the types of beneficial and harmful mutations, the diseases resulting from them, and the reasons for their occurrence in order to avoid the causes that lead to the induction of mutations.
The panel discussion included a review of the reasons for the current increase in cancerous and hereditary diseases such as thalassemia and hemophilia.
