The Student Activities Division at the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala organized a cultural symposium on the occasion of the birth of the savior of humanity, Imam Mahdi, may God hasten his honorable appearance. His Eminence Mr. Ahmed Al-Khursan lectured in the conference hall of the college and in the presence of a large number of students, employees, and teachers of the college. It was distinguished by many cultural and scientific paragraphs.
The symposium aimed to commemorate the birth of the Proof of God on earth and the spreader of security and peace throughout the globe, as well as introducing the culture of waiting and the duty of the believer towards the Awaited Mahdi.
The symposium included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah to the heroic martyrs of Iraq from the army and the Popular Mobilization Forces, as well as an introduction to the stages of his life and honorable biography by the lecturer, who pointed out the importance of the Mahdi as a basic necessity of life, stressing that true success and maturity cannot be achieved without compliance and example. With his blessed approach, may God’s peace be upon him.
The symposium also included a speech delivered by the Dean of the College, in which he touched on religious education and the integration of moral education with the pillars of religion, pointing out the role of moral education among youth and societies in paving the way for the advent of the Awaited Imam (may God bless him and grant him peace), and how to wait positively and exercise reason to confront all the temptations that are plaguing our society.
At the end, a religious questions and answers session was conducted for the attendees, and symbolic prizes were distributed to the participants with the correct answers.
