The College of Nursing at the University of Karbala organized a scientific course on thyroid diseases and their prevention, with the participation of a group of researchers, teachers and employees, and lectured by Professor Dr. Fatima Makki Mahmoud and teacher Ali Jabbar Abdul Hussein.
The three-day course aimed to familiarize participants with the symptoms of hyperthyroidism, its causes, and ways to diagnose it.
The participants discussed the influencing factors and signs of thyroid disease in children and adults, and how to self-examine and prevent it.
