The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Karbala organized its first art exhibition to support women, under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Abboud Al-Taie.
The head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the college, Dr. Alaa Abdel Kadhim Al-Kuraiti, said that the aim of the exhibition is to enhance the supportive role of Iraqi women and their active presence within society.
Al-Kuraiti explained that the exhibition included awareness-raising posters rejecting the injustice and violence to which women are exposed, as well as explaining their role in society.
The exhibition is held in accordance with the directives of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
