The College of Pharmacy at the University of Karbala organized a volunteer campaign to plant trees in the college’s gardens and spaces to increase green spaces.

This initiative came in conjunction with the National Afforestation Day, which was launched by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.

The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Rasoul, the Head and members of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch, and a number of students participated in the campaign.

The campaign included planting a group of perennial seedlings and zinnia flowers, as well as publishing awareness posters to encourage agriculture and increase green spaces inside and outside the university.

The Deanship of the College of Pharmacy contributes to the process of increasing green spaces and interest in plant cover within the university through the afforestation initiatives it launches in addition to the awareness-raising activities it conducts to encourage planting and interest in plants.
