A master’s thesis at the College of Law at the University of Karbala discussed the decreasing financing participation in Islamic banks, submitted by the student Muhammad Hussein Ali.
The study aimed to demonstrate a new financing method based on the Islamic bank providing the financing requested by its client (partner) in a project with expected income.
The study concluded that there is no legal regulation for diminishing financial participation in Iraqi legislation, and that a simple reference to participation as a means of attracting funds was sufficient in Article (2) of the Islamic Bank Law No. (3) of 2015.
