The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a training course on poetry in later eras, its trends and artistic characteristics.
The historical axis of the course focused on the most important historical events affecting the nature of literature, and the other axis dealt with the influence of political life on the styles and language of poets.
The course aimed to introduce students to the nature of poetry after the fall of the city of Baghdad in 656 AH at the hands of the Mongols.
