The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a scientific workshop on the narrative of the victim and the executioner in the novel “Lavender” by Sinan Antoun, with the participation of graduate and undergraduate students.
The workshop included two topics: the first dealt with the fruitful debate between the two sides of the narrative, the victim and the executioner, while the second reviewed the impact of spatial transformations on both sides.
The workshop aimed to emphasize the great importance of the novel as one of the texts of modern Arabic literature.
The participants called for the need to emphasize the importance of the novel as a literary text of great importance in discussing pressing social issues.
