The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala discussed the doctoral thesis entitled (Lana and the Other in the Poetry of the Fatimid Empire, Egypt and the Levant (358 – 567 AH).

The thesis included an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter dealt with (the ego; its tendencies and patterns). It included two sections. The second chapter dealt with (the other; its tendencies and patterns), while the third chapter examined (the moral other).

The importance of the study comes from the value of the era and its literature, which occupied a high position on the throne of literature from the middle of the fourth century AH to the middle of the sixth century in Egypt and the Levant.

The study concluded that the Fatimid poet sought to prove and confirm himself in one way or another, and this was due to his own being and his sense of transcendence, so he tried to please her.
