A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture at the University of Karbala discussed the effect of spraying plant extracts on growth traits, yield, and gene expression responsible for increasing beta-carotene in four genotypes of yellow corn.
The thesis submitted by student Amal Taher Odeh included three chapters: the introduction and review of references, materials and methods of work, and results and discussion.
The thesis aimed to study the expression of the CrtRB1 gene responsible for the synthesis of carotenoids in four genotypes of yellow corn under spraying with different concentrations of Moringa leaf nano extract.
The study concluded that spraying with nano-moringa leaf extract can improve the growth, yield, and quality characteristics of yellow maize varieties.
