The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala organized a refereeing course on athletics, in cooperation with the Iraqi Athletics Federation, Karbala branch, and in the presence of a number of official and sports figures.
Dr. Haider Faiq Al-Shamaa from the University of Baghdad and teachers Sajjad Muhammad Abadi and Ali Abdul Amir Hussein from the University of Karbala lectured in the course.
The course included an introduction to running events, throwing events, and recent law amendments.
The course aimed to develop athletics referees and learn about the latest amendments to the athletics law.
In conclusion, the participants were honored, former international champions, international athletics referees, and postgraduate and undergraduate students at the college.
