The President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, discussed with the Director of the Karbala Municipality, Engineer Hassan Al-Sharifi, ways to reduce traffic congestion at the university gates during working hours.
The university president conducted a tour, accompanied by the director of the Karbala municipality and his assistant for administrative affairs, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, member of the provincial council, Dr. Mohsen Al-Kanani, and a number of specialists in the engineering field, to the sites on which it is hoped to implement the projects.
The University President, Dr. Bassem Al-Saeedi, stressed the necessity of eliminating the traffic jams occurring at the main gates of the university during official working hours.
He stated that the University of Karbala is working on developing plans to find alternatives that will reduce the pressure occurring at the university’s entry gates. To ensure the smooth movement of employees and students.
For his part, the municipal director expressed his readiness to implement projects that are in the interest of citizens, stressing at the same time the directorate’s keenness to reduce the crowding at the university entrances by opening other gates that contribute to reducing the crowding at the main gates.
