The student at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, Fatima Tawfiq, won the bronze medal in the fifth edition of the West Asian Athletics Championship for Men and Women, which was hosted by the Central Iraqi Athletics Federation in Basra Governorate.
The tournament, in which the student won third place in the women’s stick jumping competition, witnessed strong competition among the participants.
It is noteworthy that this achievement is not the first for this student, as she previously won many titles and sporting achievements in a number of tournaments.
The student is preparing to participate in the Arab Clubs Championship, which will be held in the State of Kuwait in the eighth month of this year.
