The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with the Council of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University at the Technical Institute in Samawah.
The Minister of Education confirmed during the meeting, which was attended by the Governor of Muthanna, the Chairman of the Governorate Council, university presidents, and college deans, that the Ministry’s policy pays attention and support to technical education in educational institutions, especially technical institutes, and is working at a rapid pace to achieve its goals.
The attendees discussed the Bologna Process indicators adopted in technical universities and their impact on keeping pace with global development, while they reviewed the challenges facing this educational sector, the available opportunities, and the importance of twinning with established universities and technical educational institutions in the region and the world.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Education called for the need to provide more practical training opportunities based on the use of artificial intelligence techniques, investing in digital skills, following up on graduates’ affairs, and holding job fairs through partnerships with public and private sector institutions.
