Student Murtada Firas participated in the fifth stage in the College of Dentistry at the University of Karbala with his graduation research for the current academic year 2023-2024, entitled (Strengthening the acrylic used for dentures) in the twenty-fourth international scientific conference, which was held by the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad.
The aim of the research is to examine the amount of increase in the elastic strength of the acrylic used in the manufacture of dentures after adding silica to it in several proportions, which are 1%, 3%, 5%. The study concluded that adding silica in this most appropriate manner does not affect the strengthening of the acrylic. The study recommended conducting research. In the future, using percentages higher than 5% silica.
